The Conversation, Wall Plaque 1
Description
Wall Plaque in Plaster. Designed by sculptor Victoria Ellis, this series was the result of a journey of recovery and a personal reflection on the importance of communication.
"As a result of contracting Covid 19 in March 2020 I was bedridden for 18 months. For three of those months my only means of communication with my husband was via sign language. I have always understood that talk is the basis of most relationships, and as this three month silence served to heighten this view I was determined that should I recover, conversation would be the feature of my first pieces of work."
